The last time Ukraine organised a presidential election was in March 2019. Although the country is at war, there is growing pressure on Zelenskyy to hold an election in the coming months. Ukraine officials even said to the Washington Post that Russia is pushing the narrative through backchannels to create chaos and division within the country.
