In 2017, Gergő was an important part of the small communications team of Momentum’s NOlimpia campaign. The campaign organized a petition to force a public referendum on Budapest’s bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics, eventually collecting 266,151 signatures. Soon after, the government cancelled the Olympic bid without a referendum.
