Tony Blair is back. The creator of New Labour has re-emerged from the shadows this year as an influential unofficial adviser to Keir Starmer, the former chief prosecutor who became leader of the Labour Party in 2020. He has since repositioned the Labour Party closer to the political centre in a bid to regain power in a general election expected in autumn 2024, after 14 years in opposition.
