ChatGPT: I can’t remember there being so much buzz around a new software in the last ten years. The reason? It seems set to change the status quo in many areas of life. It’s not just a better Google, a nicer-looking Grammarly, or an easier-to-use, non-verbal Siri. It’s all of this together, and more. ChatGPT is just one of many new Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools released recently. For example, there’s one that can write a song for you in a few minutes, and one that creates original paintings and photographs. The opportunities are almost endless, but so are the risks. Perhaps it’s worth remembering that when Photoshop first came out people were also scared, the same with cell phones, and airplanes. Technological evolution not only has risks, but also many opportunities. what could be the future role of AI in party politics? Let’s try to take a quick look!

Making data useful

Data, data, data. Data is everything. It’s probably the most valuable asset on the planet right now. But owning data is of no use without having the capability to understand it and draw valuable insights from it. (No wonder data scientists and analysts are always so sought after on the job market!) Now, AI can help you understand and analyse datasets and use that data to make predictions and give recommendations. Based on these insights, political parties will have the chance to make more informed strategy decisions. The same goes for policy-making. Once you have your conclusions, you are able to focus on the bigger picture, and set priorities and focus points.
