When we think about complex political systems and situations, we often think of creating coalitions in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and those in Scandinavia. In such places, Labour parties are often almost forced to cooperate with right-wing populist parties. 

Such arrangements often don’t work out and it takes creative solutions to achieve majorities. But if you think that’s difficult, just imagine trying to achieve sustainable cooperation in one of the most complex countries on earth – Israel.
