Politics is often a 24/7-job that does not respect downtimes. The grind on evenings and weekends can be exhausting –and digitisation has made the delineation of professional and private lives even more difficult to maintain. The Financial Times recently had an interesting piece that pointed to the fact that work has become easier physically, but more demanding mentally. In politics, while there are no solid figures, and mental health is something close to a taboo, I would bet it is worse.
So for the upcoming festive days, here are five things I am going to try that research has shown to be effective in lowering stress.
